Alipay and Luckin Coffee Launch China’s First End-to-End AI Payment System

China's fintech landscape has reached a new milestone with the introduction of the country's first fully integrated conversational AI payment system. Alipay, in partnership with Luckin Coffee, has deployed an AI agent capable of handling both order processing and payments within a single chat interface.

The system eliminates redirects and manual payment steps through Alipay's Model Context Protocol server. Luckin Coffee now holds a technological advantage over competitors like Starbucks by offering seamless transactions via its Lucky AI assistant across both its native app and Alipay's mini-program ecosystem.
